City of Edmonton Disability BETTER than winning the LOTTERY!

  I do NOT agree that all of these government workers are able to get permanent disability as a matter of fact because they are already presumed to be suffering from this condition by default of their employment as a government employee. Why you ask? Because government employees are NOT any more predisposed to any kind of medical condition than you or I. Do you know how I know this to be true? Because I was born with precisely the SAME number of nerves, nerved endings and feelings as any other red blooded human being living and working in this province. Exactly the same number, no more and no less, so the idea of "Presumptive Injury" to me is patently ridiculous and a manifestation of Government Employees looking after more Government Employees. This is a troubling trend in Canada that needs to end, every day we open the newspaper and the special group that we call "Government Employees" are standing there with their hands out looking for yet ANOTHER presumptive condition that the WCB does not challenge, investigate nor question any of the treatments or diagnosis of this ONE SPECIAL group of workers.
  I was unfortunate enough that I was NOT a Government Employee on the day I fell, because if I was then I would have been given "Presumptive Treatment" and would have NEVER experienced ANY problems accessing proper, timely and relevant medical treatments and an actual diagnosis for my broken back. But since I was born just a regular guy who went to work and slipped and fell in front of his boss and the job Superintendent, I get the Jackboot end of the shaft from WCB Alberta.
  That whole premise of presumptive injury to me is nothing more than DISCRIMINATION wrapped nicely in a giant bleeding heart package of overblown sympathy for Government Workers! That outrages me because it measures regular working people in the private sector as "SECOND CLASS citizens", and that is discrimination as far as I am concerned. Just because you were a Prison guard, a Police Officer, a Fireman or an Ambulance Driver, you should not be "ENTITLED to better treatment" than somebody working in the private sector building a house or laying a sewer line.
  Where is the EQUALITY in this legislation that is changed almost monthly now to accommodate to growing number of Government Workers who are climbing over each other to claim PTSD? Ever since the cities of AB amalgamated the Ambulance Drivers (EMT's) into one agency making them ALL employees of the province of Alberta, the rate of Ambulance Drivers claiming PTSD has increased at least 500%. There is something going on here and nobody is investigating the legitimacy of these claims.

  The end product is that for a "First Responder" that was fully aware of the job duties and they were fully aware of the horrors of picking up mangled bodies would be part of their daily routine, now since they are no longer happy with their employer they can easily claim PTSD because this is now a "Presumptive Condition". That is BS as far as I am concerned because when a City of Edmonton Employee does claim WCB and is awarded a permanent disability award as part of this "Presumptive Condition" that "First Responder" has just won a pile of cash that is better than Winning the Lottery because that guy will never go broke. A City of Edmonton Employee gets 100% of their wages, benefits replaced in ANY WCB Claim. The City of Edmonton Employees have it written into their agreement, if the WCB only pays 80%, the City of Edmonton will TOP OFF that amount to 100%, and it is TAX FREE!
  Don't forget that these permanent disability claims are not taxable because you are permanently disabled, so the disabled City Employee from the remand center that has claimed PTSD is now taking home MORE money than they could possible EVER take home working for the City. This is a troubling trend in cities across Canada, government workers using the WCB Presumptive Conditions so they can lay on the beach in Mexico getting bombed while the rest of you poor working slobs slug it out in the trenches for a living. That is a crying shame that this is what our bleeding heart Government Workers have designed into their collective agreements so they can check out and cash out any time they like. That is just wrong considering the treatment and abuse that I have suffered from the WCB of Alberta.
  And that folks is WHY I have written for YEARS now that WCB is for Government Workers ONLY. It is THEIR special retirement club, CLUB MED that is, and you are NOT invited.
  I 100% do NOT agree with Government workers getting any SPECIAL Presumptive TREAMENTs, period. That is discrimination of the worst kind because it discriminates against regular working stiffs like me and thousands of other injured Canadians across this country that have risked their life and limb to bring home the bacon to mom and the kids.

    8.04 Supplementation of Compensation Award
   If an employee is prevented from performing the employee's  regular work with the City on account of an occupational accident that is recognized by the Workers'  Compensation Board as compensable within the meaning of the Workers' Compensation Act, the City will supplement the award made by the Workers' Compensation Board for loss of wages to the employee by such an amount that the award of the Workers' Compensation Board for loss of wages (excluding non-economic loss payment), together with the supplementation by the City, will equal 100% of the employee's regular net wage (gross pay less statutory deductions, union dues and required benefit plan contributions). 

  This is the WHY is there so many "First Responders" claiming PTSD, is my opinion. It is all about the money is what I see going on here and City and Provincial Governments have FED this trend by creating the discriminatory conditions necessary with the regimen of the WCB Acts across Canada. If you notice when there is EVER any question of WCB motives the governing Provincial Government will THROW up their ARMS and claim their hands are tied and they cannot interfere with WCB since it is a private organization here in Alberta. But is there is a group of GOVERNMENT workers who want special treatment and for the government to discriminate against regular working stiffs, the WCB is thrown into action in a moments notice a press conference is arraigned and the appropriate Government Officials gather to pat each other on the back for creating YET ANOTHER DISCRIMINATION LAW into effect!

  This IS WHERE the Alberta Government GOT IT's "Aura of Entitlement FROM", is this kind of discriminatory legislation that only helps THEM! This government Culture of Entitlement has been nurtured and fueled for decades now here in Alberta and it is time for ALL CITIZENS of Alberta to be treated with the SAME common decency that you would extend to any guest in your house, that is not the case here in Hellberta right now. The SPECIAL, the ENTITLED, and the GOVERNMENT WORKER rule this land, and it is time to put an end to this practice of discrimination against regular working joes in this province.

Christmas Dinner, just another depressing Milestone denied because of AB WCB Government Abuse

Today on the day that Christ was born, I am unable to overcome my Sciatica Pain as it radiates across my left side from my left knee right up to my shoulder blade. It feels like on giant Leg Cramp, but it is not, what I am experiencing is my whole Spine locks up and I cannot move. Just taking steps causes me extreme pain. This is why I envy people who can walk pain free. I am envious of people who "take the act of walking for granted". To them life seems so carefree and they are full of life, because without movement there is no life. When your joints in your body are all seized up, this is not a life, this is a Life Sentence to Hell, Hell in Hellberta, because I live in a City that embraces abusing Seriously Injured Workers with such Zeal, that the City of Edmonton City Councilors under Stephen Mandel secretly crafted a plan to remove the rights of Injured Workers by removing their natural implied right to gather as an Identified Group that the Corporate Cronies who make up city council did not want gathering in THEIR private PALACE. The City of Edmonton did not want Injured Workers who Mandel and his Corporate masters had labelled as "Undesirables" gathering anywhere near the place they hold their "Secret Meetings" at.

 Not only is this a milestone in my disability list of missed family events, including missed funerals, weddings, christenings, graduations and babies born but this month is a milestone in how I view the care that my doctor and his medical partners deliver. I requested a referral to a Spinal Ortho Specialist as per instructions of another injured worker in Vancouver who phoned me to tell me this doctor he knew. My own doctor is now arguing with me about the abusive treatment by Alberta Health Services.

 I have lost confidence in my doctor and his ability to give me a referral that is worth more than the half of a penny that the piece of paper he wrote it on is worth. Every time I am referred to a Specialist or attempt to access proper, timely and relevant medical treatments the WCB of Alberta interferes to INJECT

their own CROOK Doctor, that writes there is nothing wrong with my back. Which in of itself is patently ridiculous, but that is what the end product of what (Self-entitled RW Schadenfreude’s) the Alberta Government is, this is the ONLY product that they have produced for decades and they see nothing wrong with continuing with this practice;

THIS is the Hellberta WAY! Or to put it more correctly in the interest of accuracy; The WCB deliberately tries to Inflict a serious PTSD injury on the WCB Client, alienate him so completely that now he is suffering from a mental disability that the WCB has inflicted on him. Now he is so completely disabled as a disenfranchised victim of their continual and unabated ABUSE, in his exasperated desperation to seek medical treatment that he lashes out at the WCB, the WCB then uses the mental injury that the WCB INFLICTED on the Claimant, to vilify and they then use this information to put the Claimant in JAIL Permanently.

The WCB’s sole objective is to PUNISH Seriously Injured workers until they DIE, THIS is the WCB Hellberta WAY!

 I am mentally and physically exhausted as a consequence of receiving no help from the WCB and since the WCB of Alberta has fully CHOKED OFF any hope of accessing decent care, WHY would I continue living in Edmonton.

 NOTHING HAS CHANGED in Hellberta, I STILL CANNOT ACCESS proper, timely and relevant medical care in Edmonton, it is like being Chained in a Dungeon living as a disabled worker in this Corporate Hellpit of a city.

 I see Edmonton as nothing more than a life support system for habitual misanthropic government workers who extract extreme GLEE from being mental abusers. To me Edmonton has congealed into a seething pit of Corporate corruption, and since these Gov. workers were put into Government positions of power to ensure that KEY Corporate employers will NEVER have to contribute to the financial burdens of permanently disabled workers.

 I have made the decision to LEAVE Hellberta, it is the ONLY WAY I will ever be able to access a proper Orthopedic Spinal Surgeon and have him or her write a proper diagnosis, and a long term prognosis for my condition. It is only AFTER I receive a proper diagnosis that I will be able to access proper long term care for my condition. I have waited a lifetime, 11 long YEARS and I just cannot wait anymore for a government solution in Alberta.

I simply don't believe that the NDP has the right stuff to truly put an end to the WCB HORROR SHOW, and if it ever does it will be too late for me anyways. I have waited before and then only to find that once again the WCB of Alberta had screwed me, so why remain here in this seeing pit of corruption?

 I have to ESCAPE this corporate Hellpit that Mayor Iveson and his Corporate YES MEN Cronies have created here in the Capitol of Alberta. It is sad reality that many injured workers face in Hellberta, they are FORCED to LEAVE in order to be ALLOWED ACCESS to medical care. That is upsetting, but not as upsetting as missing Christmas Dinner, it is just the final humiliation in a long line of humiliating experiences in this mega-corrupt City of Edmonton.

 Living in the city that Mr. Burns created that is based on secrecy, lies, deception and the PC Conservative Dystopian dream of downtown is just one giant parking lot eyesore (The Quarters), this is what Mandel and his Pupil Iveson that was weaned on Corporate Cronyism as a WAY-of-Life has produced the Mandel Parking LOT DREAM, turning Edmonton into a Corporate Sterilization experiment envisioned by his master Mandel (Mr. Burns).

 There is nothing to stay in Edmonton Hellberta FOR. The NDP has been in power for over a year now, and I live with the fear that they are too afraid to take this monster WCB by the reigns because of how much power and influence the WCB had and does continue to wield in this province.

  2 More "Lost Days" of my life as I like to call them. That is how these cold snaps affect me, I cannot walk I get so crippled up that my joints refuse to move. Just 2 more days to add to the hundreds of lost days since my injury! The Mayo Clinic reported a couple of years back that if you suffer any kind of Spinal Trauma, that your life will be shortened by a minimum of 10 years, I am going to have to say that estimate is not only accurate but probably a little on the short side. As the years tick by from the date of my fall at work, my coworkers long ago quit calling, I miss the comradery of working. As the years tick by I miss simply being able to go visit my relatives and share time with family. WCB was designed to eliminate the burden of injured workers on their families, but Guy Kerr and his gerrymandering band of misanthropes have robbed hard working Albertans of the most precious gift you can give to your family, and that is your time. And for that I am sad this Christmas.

  The City of Edmonton policy makers at City Hall have made it a priority to "MONITIZE Poverty" by utilizing Chief of Police Rod Knecht as their Corporate HAMMER to stomp poor people into the ground.

 Mayor Iveson has cemented policy in place that seeks to profit on the backs of the poor people, he and his misanthropic cronies have MONITIZED POVERTY by targeting poor people with non-stop fines for everything.  How can this man stand in front of television cameras proclaiming that his City Council seeks Reconciliation with the indigenous population of Edmonton? It is preposterous and his is a big phony who is really good at making all of these wonderful "Feel Good Speeches" that are completely devoid of any kind of TRUTH!

  If you (Iveson) ONLY focus on punishing and doling out tickets to POOR people in Edmonton, to which a large degree are our indigenous population, and Iveson policy is to do this AGAIN and AGAIN; this only stigmatizes and places a permanent financial burden that the people you pretend you want to help.

  The Enemies of Democracy in Edmonton voted themselves into office without ANY public consultation, and they did this so they could use their office to do an end run around the will of the people when they extended their mandate to 4 years. A mandate implies that the people elected you on that platform, when in fact no such political platform for this extension existed at the time of the election or after. They did this so they could imprint their Corporate Brand of fascism on Edmonton voters. This city council is anti-reconciliation and anti-poor people. This city council is only concerned with giving hundreds of millions of our tax dollars to their corporate masters, while poor people live on the street. These fascist bastards are so damned creepy, they have City SPIES that follow the Garbage man around and SPY on the Garbage man. That is some sick weirdo shit right there.

  Now I don't know how many people are lined up to become a garbage man, but I am pretty sure that you have just WACKED half of all of the applicants from the list because of Don Iveson Garbage Spies. Being a garbage man is not a glam job, and it is my opinion that this behavior by the City of Edmonton is a violation of their basic human rights as employees of this city. The City has obviously deemed the Garbage man to guilty of some kind of crime and as such they are now paying RAT EMPLOYEES to SPY on the garbageman, that is an outrage. It is outrageous because Garbage men/women work VERY hard for their paycheque, and the last thing they need is a cloud of suspicion hanging over them because Team Iveson has bankrupted this city.

 The City of Edmonton was able to HIDE the amount they paid for the old York Hotel; it is rumored to have cost 5 million dollars. So if they can HIDE 5 Million dollars, they can easily hide the sad state of this City's finances until the next City Election is done. There have been too many secret deals and secret meetings by this city that pretends to want to help the disadvantaged people while standing on their throats, that is a sad fact that did not exist when I grew up in Edmonton as a kid. This huge imbalance of privilege in Edmonton is WHAT has contributed to the crime rate in Edmonton. 4 more years of Iveson and his misanthrope cronies will only magnify this problem and harm more of the Indigenous people he pretends on TV, that he wants to help. Team Iveson and his gang are the WORST city council this city has ever known, and that is saying something because Mandel his mentor was easily the worst as Iveson's teacher and predecessor.

  You need to look NO FURTHER than the massive increase in Cops, Firemen and EMT's in this city that are now on permanent disability by claiming PTSD. The amount of City of Edmonton government workers that are now living on a beach in Mexico sucking on Piña coladas is something that should be ringing off alarm bells at city hall but there is no panic. Why? Because the WCB of Alberta is FOR Government Workers, all government workers know this and they know that they ALL can go see the same kook doctor to diagnose them with PTSD and POOF, they are now on permanent disability.

  Just so you know when a city employee goes on permanent WCB disability, the City of Edmonton shores up their WCB benefits to 100% of their wage. Going on permanent WCB disability for government workers is like winning the lottery, no wait it is better than winning the lottery because they know that the WCB of Alberta does not even bother to CHECK up on government workers like Cops, Firemen or EMT's who are now claiming PTSD disability in droves, why is that? Just to make sure nobody is going to see them having fun on the beach, they jet off to Mexico where it is cheap to live with your own housekeepers and no nosy WCB spies to check up on you. That is the reality of the modern age Alberta that the WCB of Alberta has created for Government workers who are on disability. That is the "Magic of working for the government" in Alberta.

A Christmas Poem from Edmonton

 I was having a terrible time sleeping last night, the severe cold outside has rendered me immobile and confined to the house during this cold snap, which is typical of the life I am forced to endure as a result of my injury.
So I decided to write a poem about my experience and my families experience with the JRC, because there was no just myself that was screwed over by the Alberta WCB, but my father was as well. It lead to the breakup of our nuclear family and sent the kids to the 4 winds and into the hands of the Alberta Social Services department. I was unable to figure out how to upload the Word document that I had created with all of the formatting intact. The tragedy that has unfolded in our family because of abuse of power instilled by irresponsible governments is immeasurable. It has taken me many years to piece this together, had the WCB simply treated me with the same respect they give to ALL Govt. workers, I would never exposed their "Hacks and Quacks Network", and I would have never figured out that Dr. Leslie Delima is their head WCB Hospital TROLL, that the Royal Alexandra Hospital gleefully has granted him the freedom to physically ATTACK helpless injured workers, while they are drugged up on morphine and other high dosages of pain killers.
 I now live in constant fear that I will have a severe attack and be taken back to the Royal Alexandra Hospital where those bastards can "finish the job". I live in fear the next time I am admitted to a hospital in Alberta I will only escape feet first with a toe tag on.

 I am more than just a little rusty, I used to write poetry easily as a child, but it is a resource for relaxing that I simply have not tapped in my senior years. I figured I had better start putting some of this stuff to print, before I succumb to a Fentanyl induced heart attack.

It was a cold winter night. 

Mayor Don Iveson will never "Drain the Swamp" because he enjoys being the head alligator too much.

   When I seen the Police Chief on television actually promoting their continued practice of carding, alarm bells started going off in my head. This is what I have been writing about the "Corruption Culture" that is so solidly embedded in the Edmonton Police Service and much worse at Edmonton City Hall, this is all because the Mayor of Edmonton Don Iveson is such a phony social advocate for change.

 There is no change coming ever with "The Tefon Don" Iveson and his crew of "Crony Capitalists", Don Iveson is a solid promoter of keeping the Old Dinosaur's and their Uber-corrupt practices solidly in place for another decade as the Mayor of the Capitol of Alberta.
 This City Council of misanthropic misfits actually EXTENDED the contract for a Police Chief that promoted a obvious racist cop who abused a child with a taser, what kind of Mayor is this? A liar to begin with, who is promoting a false image of himself.
Iveson is promoting himself as the Mayor of OPENNESS, for who? Katz?
 Like is this guy for real, he is actually trying to pass himself off as some kind of Open Democracy champion, what joke and a total lie. Have you heard, Mayor Iveson is gonna "Build A WALL" to keep the hoards of voters OUT, and before you reach the wall you are going to have to pass security checks and metal detectors, because the misanthrope City Councillors fear an uprising from the people.

The City of Edmonton is the only MAJOR city in Canada that I know of that regularly hold SECRET MEETINGS! Mr. Burns was the mayor who started the secret Edmonton corruption meetings, and Smithers his protégé (Iveson) is continuing his gleeful journey down CORRUPTION LANE

The majority of provinces in Canada have specific legislation making it ILLEGAL for Municipal Councils to hold secret meetings. It is one of the Cornerstones of our Democracy, it is called Openness.

 Not the phony baloney Openness that The Teflon Don is promoting on his web-page. Don Iveson and his crony council are an abomination of the very Principles of Democracy. God the people who gave these spending addicts an Award for Openness must be a pile of maroons.

 "If the majority deny rights to and destroy their opposition, then they also destroy democracy." That is what the Crony Capitalist Council of Iveson and his cronies have produced when they denied Injured Workers the Right of Assembly to honor our fallen.
 We as citizens of Edmonton cannot make fun of Donald Trump if we accept the behavior and terrible level of performance that this group of Councillors and the Mayor have delivered to this city, then you are nothing more than a hypocrite.

 There can be NO resolution of the serious crimes that have been committed against Seriously Injured Workers until the Old Dinosaur Police Chief Rod Knecht steps down and lets the next generation of Policemen or women take the reigns of Policing in this City. Police Chief Knecht simply carries TOO MUCH Old baggage with him. Dinosaurs cannot and will not change, they are too old and too set in their ways, you have to do a complete REMOVE and REPLACE (R+R), it is the 21st Century Way.

 Until a PURGE of Corruption happens here in the Capitol of Alberta, there can be no resolution of Injured Workers grievances because the same Old Dino's are still in charge and refuse to hold the guilty parties to account for their crimes. Why does the Police Chief refuse to investigate or charge these criminals? Because these are his friends.
 You have to remember that Rod Knecht was pushed out of the RCMP, because he refused to change and all those years he spent running K-Division fused these practices of corruption into his psyche, he cannot change now he has spent his entire adult life promoting the stripping of citizens rights.
 He has to go, and he can take the Mayor and his cronies with him because these are the architects of corruption, THEY BUILT the SWAMP, and they will be damned if they will allow a bunch of simple citizens that lack the Financial Might of the Iveson cronies,  to DRAIN the SWAMP that Mr. Burns and Smithers have put so much time and effort in to constructing. 
 The Old Government Bureaucrats that carried out these abuses against innocent injured civilians are ALL STILL EMBEDDED and they still are all still employed by the AB Govt. Until there is a wholesale PURGE of these Old Dinosaurs left over from the PC Dynasty, nothing will change at the WCB of Alberta and nothing will change for injured workers killed or maimed on the job in Alberta.

 These are the thoughts that immediately came to mind when I seen the Police Chief of Edmonton actively promoting violating the Charter of Rights on Television, he was very matter of fact about it.
 Meanwhile BACK in the SWAMP, Mayor Iveson is completely at ease with this news. Mayor Iveson and his whole PHONY Indigenous Reconciliation ACT is nothing more than a giant bag of wind.
 And that is why I have given the name of SMITHERS to our Mayor, because his policies are Lock/Step in compliance with the same old policies of corruption left over from the Mandel City Council. In fact I cannot tell ANY Difference in the policy actions of Mayor Iveson and his previous gang of cronies that promote "Crony Capitalism."
 Don Iveson and his crew are very happy living In the SWAMP, to them Crony Capitalism is fun, and VERY profitable to their cronies. There is no city of 1 Million in N. America, that spends and wastes money like it is growing on trees the way Edmonton City Council spends and wastes tax dollars.

Crony capitalism is a term describing an economy in which success in business depends on close relationships between business people and government officials. It may be exhibited by favoritism in the distribution of legal permits, government grants, special tax breaks, or other forms of state interventionism.

 The City of Edmonton and the SWAMP Dwellers have conspired in my opinion to strip Albertans of their inherent right to assembly, and to deny them the right to Protest. They did this when the Mandel City Council quietly removed the Memorial for Dead and Injured Workers from City Hall.
 On that day, the Mandel crew of Iveson and his cronies decided it was much easier to STRIP Edmontonians of their Charter Rights, and their ability to assemble at a central location in the town square that is named after the greatest champion of Democracy that ever lived in the last century, Sir Winston Churchill; rather than offer real help to these people like ACCESS to City Hall.
 The "Enemies of Democracy" from the old Stephen Mandel gang of misanthropes do not believe that citizens within a Free and Democratic Society should have the right to protest at their City Hall in the center of the city. This has earned them the moniker of "The enemies of Democracy", that they fully deserve. To Iveson and his crew of cronies, this is THEIR City Hall. So, they are Building a WALL to keep YOU the taxpayers OUT.

 This is WHY I felt compelled to comment when the officer was shot, and our phony social champion Mayor Don Iveson was on air crying and balling about a Police Officer who died on the job.
 OVER 100 people lose their lives every YEAR in Alberta at work, and they are NOT cops, they are NOT Policemen or government employees, but they are proud Canadians that deserve to remembered and honored at an open and accessible venue in the heart of our City. That is not the case right now because Iveson and his gang of misanthropic Crony Capitalists decided it was their RIGHT to deny me and my seriously injured worker associates our Charter Rights to assembly for remembering common people who have died in the line of work.
 Those workers who died, each and every man woman and teen who has died or become severely disabled deserve our remembrance, because EACH and every one of those workers had a family, a brother, a sister and a loving mother and father that miss them dearly each day. I cannot bear that these misanthropes that call themselves our Civic Fathers have so beguiled their duties to the citizens of this city, because my father worked for the City of Edmonton for over 30 years and he is rolling in his grave as we speak.
 On Civic Election Day please vote with those who have gone before us and have given their lives for this province we live in and have paid the Ultimate Price for their country, and throw these misanthropic Crony Capitalistic henchmen out of office for the good of our community. The future of your city depends on it, your children will thank you one day. Otherwise they will simply continue to STRIP your rights as a citizen from you until one day you wake up and you will find you don't have any rights left to fight for just like happened to Martin Niemöller:

Michael Cooper's hero Stephen Harper had a FULL 10 Years to change that law, and what did he do? The Harper Majority did ZERO. Cooper is using a deceased RCMP Officer for political GAIN, that is despicable.

We as injured workers completely understand the grief of his wife. I patently reject her statement that this is a "Common Sense Law". Conservatives love to use the catchphrase "Common Sense" when they are seeking political points. The reality is that common sense has never existed in any part of society. I am deeply troubled by the Conservative MP using a grieving wife as a political prop.
  Implying that a political foe is lacking in "Common Sense" is a sneaky way of calling your politico opponent an imbecile or idiot that lacks judgement or decision making skills, it is a misnomer

150 Grieving families whose father WAS NOT a cop, a fireman, a prison guard, or an EMT, where is the MP when these men and women are killed on the job? How come Michael Cooper does not advocate for those 150 families each year whose breadwinner is not coming home again, ever. Where is Michael Cooper when the gas station attendant is murdered, or the flag girl is killed on the highway? 
  Those 150 non-government families deserve as much of your political effort as does ANY Government worker (Cops, Firemen, Guards, Govt. workers). Those 150 grieving families do NOT have a sitting MP manipulating the media for his own political gain. Where was Michael Cooper Soapbox Grandstanding and advocate for ALL workers safety? He does not care about your average Joe Blow, because he sees no political CASH (Media Exposure) in advocating for Joe Albertan. Joe Albertan hard worker guy does not have a sitting PC MP using grieving Policeman's wives for political gain, to change laws that would have saved their mom or dad's life at work.
Every family has the undeniable right to see their loving parent or partner return home ALIVE each day!
Every family has that right, it is not the exclusive right of government workers, and it should be ingrained in our legislative law.
Can MP Cooper explain precisely WHY he is not lobbying the Worker's Compensation Board of Alberta to pressure the government for change? He is aware that the WCB is "Exclusive Remedy" for worker safety in Alberta. That means that the WCB has the exclusive power to investigate injury, deaths and to make recommendations to the government regarding the safety of ALL workers in this province.
Why does Michael Cooper not directly phone Guy Kerr? You know the self described hero that cashes in 900k Cheques for DENYING real mean and women who built this province benefits they are legally entitled to. Guy Kerr cashes 900 Thousand dollar Paycheque for paving over the bodies of dead Canadian workers for his Corporate cronies.
 Or does he already know the blubbering prepared response from AB's do-nothing WCB CEO is always a hollow scripted uncaring response? Watching Guy Kerr speak is like watching a piece of cardboard cite the Lord's Prayer, completely devoid on any genuineness or sincerity. 
 In Alberta seriously injured workers are accustomed to his WCB Robotic Statement reads. You will never see a video interview with Guy Kerr because he knows his insincerity will come oozing out of his skin on camera, it would be bad for his carefully created self image.
MP Cooper and the CPC seek to Arrest, Try, Convict and Punish the sitting Liberal government in the "Court of Public Opinion", while using a grieving Policeman's Widow as political ammunition. Despicable behavior for a member of Parliament is what I see going on here. www.brentmcgillis.net

 The Minister of Parliament fails to mention, that it was an Edmonton Police Service Police Officer acting as the Justice of the Peace, that EPS Officer freed the man who shot this distraught woman's husband. 
 That policy was a policy that was pursued by  EPS and CPS lobbied for and was approved by the PC Govt. many years ago. I always felt that using Cops to act as Justice of the Peace was an abuse of power, by the Police Chiefs of AB, and a direct violation of the Laws of Natural Justice. It is and was a conflict of interest.
 That is how a fascist puppet regime is created, the Conservative Elite of Alberta would not have been able to craft a perfect Fascist regime within a Democratic framework without the full co-operation of Uber corrupt Constabulary Forces to enforce their corrupt Justice System and their Laws promoting their own form of Corruption. Police Chief Rod Knecht is a leftover Dinosaur of the 40+ years of PC Fascism.
 Police Chief Knecht was weened his entire Police Career promoting Laws that encourage his Police Officers to deny you your basic human rights that Canadians are protected by with the Charter of Rights.and Freedoms. It is not his fault, he is a Dinosaur.
 Mr. Burns (Mandel) hired Chief Knecht because he knew that Rod Knecht believed in the same fascist values that he and his mentored assistant Waylon Smithers (Don Iveson) believed in. This is WHY Don Iveson was never a champion of change, Iveson never tried to drain the swamp because Don Iveson was ALWAYS a Swamp dweller, thus he feels that having a Police Chief that STILL ADVOCATES for stripping people of their Charter Rights is a perfect fit for his Gang of Corporate Cronyism Swamp Dwellers.

 We managed to partially drain "The SWAMP" by defeating the PC's, now it is time to finish the job, in the next Civic Election I urge you to get out and vote. Your sham Democracy depends on it, otherwise you are simply living in a Sterilized FANTASYLAND created by the Wealthy Elites like Darryl Katz who are so sorry that his BOUGHT and PAID FOR PC Party was soundly defeated in the last AB election.

 Michael Cooper fails to mention that these were policies that were enacted by a PC Government that ran this province like their own little Communist country, were the Justice System was corrupt right to the very top; especially when Alison Redford ran the province. 
 Rick Caron and his wife Penny produced undeniable PROOF of corruption, document tampering and forgery within the WCB Appeals Commission, and so they took that evidence directly to the office of then Justice Minister Redford.
 As injured workers we had no idea that the Alberta Justice System was CORRUPT right to the very top including the Justice Minister, this was a shock and a wake-up call to the "Crimes against Democracy" that had been committed by the PC Government of Alberta..

 She returned the evidence and a letter that Alison Redford had "hand signed" that stated AB Justice did not in their opinion believe any crime had been committed and that they did not believe any document tampering had occurred.

But au contraire readers, I firmly believe that Alison Redford was the Perp that day, because she was a sworn Officer of the Court  when she knowingly signed a document that she knew to be false; on that day she committed a crime is my opinion.

 Michael Cooper is solely in this political PROFIT, why is he not hounding his very own caucus colleagues about HOW a cop came to be the Justice of the Peace for the bail hearing? Why does he not question the Edmonton Police Service and the Chief of Police for EPS about HOW a police officer was routinely acting as Justice of the Peace presiding over these proceedings, especially at night and on weekends was the standard practice?
 Keep in mind that numerous times Injured Workers approached the Edmonton Police Service and alerted them to these obvious crimes by the government, and in every instance the EPS refused to investigate. The KEY SWAMP Dwellers are ALL still in charge, until that changes and their is a quantum shift in Police Chiefs and the entire Alberta Justice department will remain in Ill Repute. Worse yet is that Justice will continue to be DENIED in Hellberta, because people like Mayor Don Iveson don't EVER want to see the SWAMP DRAINED.
 For Mayor Iveson, having a corrupt Police Chief is just O.K. man. Iveson and his cronies live in FEAR that if the SWAMP is ever drained at City Hall in Edmonton, it will expose what he and his cronies have buried under the SWAMP. 

 I find the Conservative Member of Parliament to be offensive to the idea of Democracy, since he is part of a political machine that has worked tirelessly to dismantle all fairness in the Justice System. I find him offensive and completely disingenuous with his attacks on the sitting Trudeau government, because his motivations are purely Political Profit. I call it like I see it, and this man is a fake which is not surprising for a PC.

 
 

 I have spent years trying to get the most BASIC needs of a worker who fell and broke his back at work met, with zero success. I have been to every law office in downtown Edmonton trying to get a lawyer to fight the WCB, and not 1 lawyer would take on the WCB.

 I have tried for years to get the 1 thing that would make my life 10 times better, immediately! A bed. It began when I got out of the hospital and because I was recovering from a Spinal Trauma and major back surgery, I was hoping the WCB would provide one. Nope, I was wrong.

 I asked and asked the useless WCB home care workers who did NOT show until 4 days AFTER I arrived home if I could get a new bed. Yes, they told me, "No problem". No bed ever arrived, I continued to ask them and I asked my worker for a bed. Yes as soon a it is approved we will deliver it I was told. That was 11 years ago, and I am still waiting. The WCB does NOT CARE if you die in the gutter, in pain, broke penniless and mentally tortured, so long as Guy Kerr can report ANOTHER banner profits year.

 If you are NOT a government worker, like a Cop or a firemen, then the WCB of Alberta will do everything in their power to ABUSE you and to inflict further mental torture on the injured worker. BUT, if you are a Cop or a Firemen or an EMT, or a prison guard they WCB will heap ALL the benefits you could possible imagine onto those families because they are all part of their Great Big GOVERNMENT FAMILY.

 If you do not belong to to this special group then you are just plain out of luck there buddy. That is what is so sad about the reality that Seriously Injured Workers face here in Alberta. If you are a Cop and you are driving without a seat-belt on and you smash your knees into the dashboard in a head on collision, you will be admitted to the Glenrose Hospital for Rehabilitation once you are discharged from the hospital.

If you are NOT a government employee, then once the WCB Hacks and Quacks Dr. Leslie DeLima is done physically attacking you in your hospital bed you will be promptly discharged home with NO Home-care supports waiting to help you in you hour of need. Then when you ask for medical devices like a bed, and you even have your Family Physician write a Prescription for a orthopedic bed, you will be flatly DENIED.

 That is the sad reality of living working and breaking your back at work here in Hellberta. I feel for the Mounties Wife, as I feel for ALL workers who are killed on the job.

But watching MP Cooper grandstanding and blaming the Trudeau government; for horrible policies that are firmly ROOTED in Progressive Conservative policy making by a government that ruled by MAJORITY for 40 years; is just so damned repulsive on many levels. Michael Cooper is a typical Conservative Political Opportunist. I find his use of a widower to further his career by using a dead Policeman for political gain to be so repulsive it make me want to vomit. 

 Michael Cooper fails to mention that the "Crime and Punishment Govt." of Stephen Harper, was DRUNK on writing new Laws to crush the poor people of Canada almost daily they were writing new laws to suppress Freedom and Democracy. It was a bloody disgrace and a collateral attack on Democracy by the CPC Party that Cooper belongs to, he conveniently leaves that part out of his Grief profiteering campaign.

I have to rest, Chronic Pain is calling, and it does not care if you do not pick up the phone. Chronic Pain does not take any days off. Peace, out.
