I just can not understand how a Seriously Injured Ironworker can fall off a building smashing his body in the process and not be covered by Compensation. How that same injured worker in Alberta does not even qualify for a BED after breaking his back. I am flabbergasted at this, and in total disbelief that my Case Manager Colleen Bamford can stand by this determination.
I know firefighters and admire them for their bravery in the execution of their duties. I risked my life for many years and cannot even get my medications paid for by WCB Alberta. I did fall at work and did shatter my vertebrae, and according to Colleen Bamford I don't qualify. I am permanently disabled according to the American Medical Association Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairments. (Note: See Links to Documents on bottom of page.) But Colleen Bamford still says I do not qualify, and closed my file due to inactivity she wrote.
Colleen are Ironworkers exempt from coverage when they fall and break their backs?? Why am I being discriminated against?
She did manage to dig up some Rent-a-doc that she tries to pass off as an official medical consultant on my condition. Humpff, strange.. the Guide to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairments is very specific in who is qualified to make that assessment on a spinal injury, and if you read the guide it lays out in specific detail the accompanying combination of scans and X-rays, and other specialists that are required to do a proper and legal assessment of my spinal injury.
Colleen Bamford, I am going to the RCMP and file a fraud complaint against WCB Alberta. You have not acted in good faith, and you have engaged in acts of fraud against a legally entitled seriously injured worker. By producing documents that you know to be fraudulent, you and your organization are liable. This is not some kind of administrative fau paus. This is willful and deliberate fraud. The WCB Alberta has acted with deliberate "Malice".
I know firefighters and have worked with them, and they would not approve of your treatment of a hard working injured Ironworker. People who risk their lives everyday are all cut from the same cloth. It is very tragic their comrade lost his life to his work related medical problems.
I do believe that the WCB Alberta needs to stand up and quit committing fraud against hard working seriously injured citizens of this community. Millard and WCB Alberta, bringing shame to the Health Sciences in Alberta for 30 years.
WCB Alberta employees could never understand this since they have never built anything or contributed anything to this community. BTW, you never hear of any medical miracles coming out of Millard now do you. That's because meat grinders do not produce miracles.
The entire WCB operation from head to toe is one big JOKE operation. Sad part is, the joke is on the injured worker.
The only people who think Millard is great are the ones paid to say so. You never hear of great humans' achievements at Millard do you. I guess that is what happens in a Rehabilitation facility that thinks threats and coercion are useful tools for your recovery. They do have to help some people to put in their magazines, like I said, people who are paid to say so.
Isn't the ruling party of Alberta's corporate solution to everything just frigging great? Huh? Yup, thanks ED, sending people to the poor house. 1000 at a time. Thanks to narrow minded ToryNomics. How many people are unemployed in Alberta now?

Hey! every injured worker in this province here is our chance to put WCB/AB in the news. Right now the newspaper headlines are all about health care and its huge costs etc. If your WCB files are like mine then you would have an inch thick folder of medical costs that were wasted because caseworkers do not follow the assesment to treat reports from their own assesment doctors. My file has over $100,000.of wasted $- these #'s are provided by freedom of information. All patients are entitled to one free copy of your file. note; telephone transcripts are not from actual taped calls-only the version the caseworker writes-yet in appeals the caseworker swears these to be actual and true? This is Canada?
ReplyDeleteThis is a call to all WCB/AB victums-bombard Stelmac's fax and email with any and all documents of proof on how you got screwed by the WCB/AB caseworkers-in fact do the same with the with the NDP, and the Liberals. If we all do this and do it for like 7 days straight-our plight can't be ignored.

Always remember that you are suppose to be able to chose your care giver. This means you don't have to go to Lifemark Health. This is one of those clinics run by wcb bias medical consultants. All they are going to do is find some way of blaming your freshly broken leg on some ailment you had 10 years ago, thus cutting you off benefits. As rediculous as that sounds its true. Another low down dirty thing the wcb caseworker does is contact your family doctor by phone and slanders you and harasses them to the point where your family Doctor wants no part of the situation anymore. Via telephone means no paper trail since the caseworker controls the telephone transcripts and what they contain. Its a pretty good scam thats being run here. Adjustments are regularly made to close all angles-like the most recent-Human Rights Commission has no authority over WCB/AB anymore-can't get involved. Lets not leave out the scammers over at the WCB/AB advocates office. Most are right off the plane from England-they don't know how things work here in Canada. Mike Humphries was the advocate I was assigned-I would show him clear cut proof-but he would always comment he couldn't find anything wrong? This dept. just wastes $ and is only in place for 'image' and to give insight to WCB caseworker.

behavour is racking up co$t$. Workers end up losing their jobs, becoming homeless or on social assistance-thus costing our gov't more $ but in a different dept. Its plain old corruption-some one is getting rich-to me it seems who is ever running these clinics are criminals. But how dare I not let this Dr. John Hickie get rich on the broken backs of injured workers. He is the chump who runs the scam-alberta gov't is too stupid to know when they are being ripped off-just because a person is a Doctor-dosen't mean they are not greedy criminals-this is what is known as 'seeing the world through rose colored glasses
For everyone who has been unfairly treated by the AB/WCB appeals commission. These scum bags are still under the durisdiction of the AB Ombudsmans office who have in the past overturned some of their boggus decisions in the past. A person has to wait 6 months after the wcb appeals commission decision before you can file a complaint with the Ombudsman.

ReplyDeleteWhy not-at least afterward you have 3 warm meals per day, warm bed to sleep in, clean clothes to put on everyday, free cable TV, free weight room, free medication and you will have released all your built up anger.
I may be in jail but so what! Its better than sleeping outside in dirty clothes, starving.
